First, this ad (below) from the Smith campaign reveals the hypocrisy of Merkley accussing the fromer House Speaker of mis-spending during capitol rennovations and not himself. Then there is this video which shows Merkley not up to date on the Georgia Russia war two days after it started (A little gotcha journalism if you ask me).

I love this new "I've been on the road" excuse. It really does seem to be quite in vogue.

Obama running for president and not sure if there are 57 or 59 states? "Ooops, sorry, I've been on the road"

Merkley running for senate and happens to be unaware of an invasion by Russia that is two days old? "Oops sorry, I've been on the road and stuffing my face"

Can someone please hand me a score card?

Is George Bush, still the stupid one or have these two clowns surpassed him? I mean Bush is only under the pressure of being president, which I guess is a cake walk compared to "being on the road".
