What Tea Parties Are Really About

Never mind. We thought the Tea Parties being held around the country tomorrow were in the spirit of the original Boston Tea Party, which led to the American Revolution against the oppressive and non-responsive government of Great Britain.

Now, according to a news release from our learned friends at the Oregon Center for Public Policy, we’re supposed to believe that the Boston Tea Party was simply a protest against a tax cut for the “multinational corporation of the day, the British East India Company.”
